Folks, earlier today I talked with Congresswoman Maxine Waters and we had a good conversation discussing what again, what’s important in this election, the importance of fundraising, but also we talked about what people need to understand the role of members of Congress, especially black caucus members, and how they do impact the lives of African Americans every single day. Here is that conversation. Congresswoman Waters, glad to have you back on the show. Let’s let’s get right into it. One [snorts] of the things that is really driving me crazy is I’m seeing a lot of Democrats, progressives, liberals, DSA, all these people having what I call intra-party fights.
And what I keep saying is Democrats don’t control the House, don’t control the Senate, don’t control the White House. You got Republicans who are circling the wagons. If Democrats want to get power, they have to win. That means if you’re wasting time on intra-party fights, all the primaries are over, then you’re putting the opportunity to get power in jeopardy. This is time to buckle up, circle the wagons, win in November, and then you can battle it out over leadership after the election.
