Bryan family demands accountability after victim killed by suspect out on bond


Rusty thread. A Brian family is looking for answers after learning that the man accused of killing their loved one last month was already out on bond for another violent crime. Brian police say 20-year-old Ko Trailer Brennham is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the September 29th shooting death of 27year-old de Brandon Charles. KB Texas Donnie Tugle joins us from Jaguar Drive where that shooting happened. Donnie, >> loved ones in this case say the suspect should have never been released, and now they’re paying the price for a system that gave him one too many chances.

This all happened on September 29th outside an apartment complex on Jaguar Drive. Police say 27year-old de Brandon Charles was rushed to a hospital where he later died from his injuries. Brian police later tied KO trailer to the shooting. What’s frustrating for family members is that trailer was out on bond at the time awaiting trial for a 2023 aggravated assault case in Brennham. For the family, the pain of losing to Brandon has turned into a call for accountability and for change.

>> I think a complete investigation needs to be done on why this kid was on the streets and why he had a gun. Obviously, if he was charged with a gun assault, how did he get his hands on another gun? And who’s at fault? Now, trailer remains in the Washington County jail tonight. Now, he’s expected to face a judge here in Brazes County in the coming weeks.
