Brenham football scrimmage vs Navasota

The Brenham Cubs football team showcased their prowess in a thrilling scrimmage against the Navasota Rattlers, culminating in an impressive victory. Held at Brenham High School’s Cub Stadium, the event brought out a crowd eager to support their local athletes and get a glimpse of what the upcoming season might hold.

From the opening snap, it was clear that the Cubs were determined to set the tone. The offense, led by quarterback Jordan Harvey , executed plays with precision, moving the ball methodically down the field. Jordan Harvey connected with wide receiver Trae Bowers. for 75-yard touchdown pass, including a spectacular touchdown pass that ignited the home crowd.

On the defensive side,Leedrick Walker Jr and Quincy Adams combined to force a Rattler fumble, stifling Navasota’s attempts to gain yardage. Linebacker Leedrick Walker Jr was a standout, making multiple tackles and even securing an interception that he nearly returned for a touchdown. The defensive unit’s cohesion and communication were evident, as they consistently thwarted Navasota’s offensive efforts.

Coach Youngs also gave credit to Navasota, who are in their first season under new head coach Trey Allen, with being a quality opponent.

As the community rallies behind them, the Brenham Cubs are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season. The scrimmage win over Navasota is just the beginning, and if this performance is any indication, Brenham football is ready to shine.
